With its 88-key piano mechanics, the GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard reproduces the sensation of playing an acoustic piano, from the characteristic weight of the low notes to the lightness of the high notes. The GHS keyboard provides the response and feel of a grand piano, allowing you great expressive control. Additionally, the half-pedal function allows you to apply less resonance to the notes by pressing the pedal less, giving you even greater control.



HARMONIC RESONANCE LIKE IN A GRAND PIANO - VIRTUAL RESONANCE MODELING LITE (VRM LITE)

The richness of the sound of the piano lies largely in its complexity. In a grand piano, the vibration of the strings is transmitted to the soundboard, and from there to the entire instrument, creating infinite resonances at every moment. The YDP-145 accurately reproduces these harmonic resonances thanks to cutting-edge technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite). VRM Lite inherits some of the features of the Clavinova's VRM, and creates a rich and varied sound by simulating the complex harmonics that are created when the string vibrations are transmitted to the soundboard and to other strings, in correspondence with the moment and intensity with which the keys and pedals are pressed.





A RICH AND POWERFUL SOUND THANKS TO TONE ESCAPAMENT TECHNOLOGY

The YDP-145 is built with the new TONE ESCAPAMENT technology. Openings at the back of the cabinet allow sound to also come out from behind the piano, providing a more open sound and a three-dimensional resonance like that found in acoustic pianos.

The YDP-145 not only has the sound of the best grand piano, but it also includes other instruments, with a total of 10 Voices - including electric piano, organ, vibraphone, or strings sounds.



The YDP-145 has 353 built-in songs, including 50 classical music pieces and 303 piano studies from famous methods like Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny, and Hanon. Additionally, it is compatible with the free app. Yamaha Smart Pianist - simply download it on your tablet or smartphone and connect it to your instrument*.



With the app Smart Pianist You can change the Voices, access the instrument's functions, and view the sheet music of the included songs. You can also access the Piano Room to modify the tone and resonance settings of the piano sound.
