The American Cut is the ideal jazz saxage cane and does not look like any rod that you have touched before. By taking material from the outer of the cane and pushing it towards the heart, the cane maintains its rigidity while allowing the edges to vibrate the most freely possible. This change creates a sharp spine in the center of the shovel that gives the cane its unique appearance.
