Wessex BBb tuba Prokofiev TB693HP-S

The silver-plated Wessex Prokofiev for exceptional orchestral performance

The Wessex Prokofiev TB693 SP Bb Tuba combines the renowned performance of the Prokofiev model with an elegant silver-plated finish, delivering outstanding projection, immediate response and a broad orchestral sound. Designed for professional musicians, this handcrafted 6/4 tuba is equally at home in symphony orchestras and large wind ensembles.

Its hand-hammered bell enhances resonance, tonal richness and projection, while the redesigned leadpipe provides a freer blowing feel and remarkably responsive airflow. The result is an instrument that responds naturally across the full dynamic range.

The 5 rotary valves deliver accurate intonation and smooth mechanical action, allowing demanding orchestral repertoire to be performed with confidence while maintaining excellent stability throughout the instrument's range.

With its 500 mm bell and progressive 19–22 mm bore, the Prokofiev produces a powerful orchestral voice with exceptional depth and projection. The silver-plated finish also provides an elegant appearance and long-lasting protection.
