Wessex BBb tuba with removable bell XL TB576

A versatile BBb tuba with interchangeable bells for every performance

The Wessex XL TB576 BBb Tuba revives the classic American front-bell tuba while incorporating modern engineering with five silent rotary valves. The result is a highly versatile instrument capable of adapting to a wide variety of musical settings.

Its defining feature is the inclusion of two interchangeable bells. The 520 mm removable forward-facing bell delivers direct, powerful projection, making the instrument ideal for outdoor performances, marching bands, brass bands and any situation where greater projection towards the audience is required.

When a more traditional sound and appearance are preferred, the 480 mm upright bell can be fitted in just a few moments, transforming the TB576 into an excellent concert tuba suitable for orchestral, wind band and indoor performances. This effectively provides two instruments in one.

The generous 19.5 mm bore produces a broad and open response, while the five silent rotary valves allow modern repertoire to be performed with speed, precision and reliability. Nickel silver tuning slides provide additional durability for intensive professional use.

The instrument is supplied in two separate hard cases: one for the tuba with the upright bell and another dedicated to the removable forward-facing bell, ensuring safe transport and protection for every component.
