Miraphone CC Tuba New Yorker 6/4 lacquered

The Miraphone New Yorker 1292 CC Tuba is a 5/4 format model developed for performers seeking a direct response and very precise sound control. Its design combines Miraphone's acoustic tradition with a modern front action configuration.

The 470 mm bell provides broad and well-defined projection, with a clear and structured sound that easily integrates into the orchestral mass. This format favors a solid low foundation without losing definition in the mid-range.

The front-action pistons system along with a fifth rotary valve offers comfortable fingering and fine-tuned control in demanding passages. The conical bore from 19.6 to 21.2 mm contributes to a progressive and balanced emission, while the vented valves for pressure compensation improve stability and blowing comfort.

The medium-large size leadpipe promotes a flexible response and good air column management. The 443 Hz reference tuning aligns with current professional standards. As it is a model without a lyre holder or strap ring, it is clearly geared towards orchestral use.
