Willson CC Tuba Merlin 3060FA5-S

The Willson Merlin 3060FA5-S Tuba in C is one of the most versatile and balanced models in the professional market. Its 5/4 design offers a wide and round sound presence, yet with a surprisingly compact body that enhances ergonomics and control even during extended sessions. It is a tuba capable of adapting to any context: from symphonic repertoire to chamber music or brass quintet.

The new valve block developed by Kurt Kurath optimizes diameters and tube connections, achieving exceptionally precise tuning without the need for constant adjustments on the slides. The combined action of its 4 non-compensating front pistons and the ROTAX rotary valve ensures a smooth, stable, and highly flexible response across the entire range.

The airflow moves without resistance thanks to the complete redesign of the internal architecture, allowing for broad resonance and effortless sound projection that fills the room. Despite its 5/4 size, the Merlin stands out for its ease of emission and a clear core tone that remains stable even in demanding dynamics.
