Wessex Eb travel tuba tornister Bohème TE165

An ultra-compact Eb Travel Tuba built for musicians on the move

The Wessex Tornister Bohème TE165 Eb Travel Tuba is a unique instrument inspired by the compact tubas once carried by Austro-Hungarian military bands in the early twentieth century. Its remarkably small size makes it ideal for travelling, practising away from home and performing in small ensembles without sacrificing enjoyable playability.

Standing only 480 mm tall and weighing just 3.45 kg, the Bohème is incredibly portable. Its compact dimensions often allow it to be transported as cabin baggage, making it the perfect companion for musicians who want to keep practising while travelling.

The 4 rotary valves provide smooth, comfortable action, while the 190 mm bell and 15 mm bore deliver an impressively balanced sound for such a compact instrument. Nickel silver inner and outer slides together with nickel reinforcing plates provide excellent durability and structural strength.

The beautifully engraved Wyvern valve levers give the instrument a distinctive appearance, while the included compact wheeled case and Bell Canto mouthpiece complete a package designed for travel, home practice, jazz performances, chamber ensembles and tuba gatherings.
