An ultra-compact Eb travel tuba ready for every journey
The Wessex Bohème TE165s Silver-Plated Eb Travel Tuba brings together historic inspiration and modern practicality. Based on the compact Tornister tubas once used by Austro-Hungarian military bands, it delivers impressive musical performance in an instrument small enough to accompany you almost anywhere.
Its exceptionally compact backpack-style design makes it an ideal travel companion. Small enough for cabin luggage on many airlines, it allows tubists to continue practising while travelling without transporting a full-size instrument.
Equipped with 4 rotary valves, a 190 mm bell and a 15 mm bore, the TE165s offers quick response, excellent intonation and a remarkably full sound despite weighing only 3.45 kg. It is equally at home in practice sessions, jazz performances, chamber groups, Tuba Christmas events or as a lightweight marking instrument.
The elegant silver-plated finish complements its distinctive appearance, while the included compact wheeled case makes transportation effortless. A Bell Canto mouthpiece is also supplied so the instrument is ready to play immediately.
