Saja-Brassline SB tuba mouthpiece

SAJA-Brassline mouthpieces feature an innovative modular system that allows each mouthpiece to be individually configured according to the needs of the player, the instrument and the desired sound.

The system consists of 4 interchangeable parts:

• Rim (Rand): the part that comes into direct contact with the lips and influences comfort, embouchure feel and resistance.
• Cup (Kessel): available in different sizes and geometries. Its shape and depth directly influence the sound and response of the mouthpiece.
• Shank (Schaft): channels the air from the mouthpiece into the instrument and is available in different configurations that affect resistance, tuning and projection.
• Booster: available in different weights —Light, Medium and Heavy— to modify the response, dynamics and overall playing characteristics of the mouthpiece.

Thanks to this system, it is possible to replace just one component without having to change the entire mouthpiece. For example, the player can keep the same rim while changing the cup, shank or booster depending on the repertoire or the characteristics of the instrument.

The different components are available in various sizes, configurations and finishes, allowing the player to create a highly personalised mouthpiece setup.
