Schlipf Mutes: modular mutes for tuba, euphonium, and trombone with stable tuning, volume control, and adjustable resistance.

Schlipf Mutes develops modular mutes for tuba, euphonium, and trombone that stand out for their stable intonation, homogeneous response, and volume control without "choking" the sound. Their lightweight and precise construction, with interchangeable inserts/baffles, allows for adjusting resistance and timbre color, transitioning from silent practice to studio and stage settings. The "practice" models effectively reduce dB while maintaining center and articulation; performance versions offer defined projection and a balanced tone.

Schlipf mutes are designed to fit common bells and calibrations, with consistent sealing and easy disassembly for transport. At A Un Tono, we help you choose the appropriate size and module combination for your instrument and goal (nighttime practice, warm-up backstage, recording, or live performance). If you're looking for useful silence, reliable intonation, and real flexibility, Schlipf is a smart choice for your low brass instrument.
