This detachable mute designed to be carried inside the euphonium was created by Professor Wilfried Brandstötter (tuba professor at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, tubist of Mnozil Brass) and meets all the requirements needed for touring: Thanks to the innovative construction of this mute, it is possible to reverse the upper part into the lower part. When placed inside the euphonium, the mute can be transported easily – in one piece and without protruding – inside the case or bag. It is easy to handle, has good intonation, and does not require much effort to play.
The standard color of the mute is white. If desired, it can be ordered in black for an additional charge.
